My name is Christian, and Pinnersoq began with a word, a journey, and a spark of inspiration.
While studying in Greenland, I came across the word “pinnerpoq” — meaning beauty. I loved everything about it: the sound, the meaning, the way it captured something soft yet powerful. But in the swirl of daily life, I remembered it slightly wrong. Pinnerpoq became Pinnersoq — a small, honest mistake that stuck… and ended up becoming something much bigger.
I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of dog sledding and the freedom of snowmobiling across snowy landscapes. Those moments — when everything is quiet except for the wind and the sound of sled dogs or a snowmobile engine — remind me of what truly matters.
I started this company to build a life where I could spend more time doing what I love — while also giving back to the place that inspired me. That means supporting the Greenlandic economy and sharing its spirit through carefully selected goods and stories.
Every item in Pinnersoq reflects that same curiosity and character that started it all — a mix of natural elegance, warm minimalism, and quiet stories waiting to be told.
